The Big Buddha in Phuket, officially known as Phra Phutta Ming Mongkol Eknakiri, is a 45-meter tall statue made of concrete and covered with white marble, located atop Nakkerd Hill.
The Big Buddha has been closed for many months now, due to dangers posed by soil erosion, so you can’t go all the way to the top of the hill anymore. Fortunately for me, I live at the bottom of the hill and can see this view everyday.
